Advisory Board Spotlight – Randall Goss


Mr. Goss is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Risk Insurance Group, Inc., a diversified insurance and financial services firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

Established by Mr. Goss in 1986 with a single office and a single product line, the company currently has sixteen offices both nationally and internationally. U.S. Risk currently comprises several companies which handle insurance underwriting, insurance brokerage and reinsurance brokerage. Currently, U.S. Risk is the sixth largest excess and surplus lines provider in the nation.

Prior to founding the Company in 1986, Mr. Goss began his career as a certified public accountant for Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) where he co-authored the book “Accounting and Auditing of Financial Institutions.” Mr. Goss played NCAA football and graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University. He and his wife, Kara, have made many charitable affiliations including being the 2015 Co-Chairs of the John Wayne Film Festival.
