JW Alumni Fellows Spotlight: Dr. Melanie Goldfarb


goldfarbDr. Melanie Goldfarb, a key John Wayne Cancer Institute faculty member, is the Director, Endocrine Tumor Program and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the John Wayne Cancer Institute and Saint John’s Health Center. She graduated from University of Illinois of Chicago College of Medicine and completed her surgery training at Beth Israel Deaconess (Harvard Medical School) and was an endocrine surgery fellow at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. Goldfarb’s interests are in both adult and adolescent endocrinology, endocrine cancer and cancer survivorship issues. She will share her presentation, “Demographic factors are the largest determinant of emotional distress in cancer survivors” at the World Cancer Congress.
