JWCI Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program Spotlight: Dr. Slayden

Dr. Slayden, Class of 2019

Christopher Slayden, M.D., is a board-eligible urologist and is the clinical fellow in urologic oncology at the John Wayne Cancer Institute. He completed his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He then underwent general surgery internship and urology residency training at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center. Dr. Slayden’s drive for excellence in urology has led him to join the world class surgeons at John Wayne Cancer Institute to further develop his robotic and urologic oncology skill set to deliver the highest level of care to patients. In his leisure time, Dr. Slayden enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running, basketball, and California beaches.
