Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the John Wayne Grit Seris is virtual until the restrictions are lifted.
At that point, we will transition to in person events. We have high hopes of getting together to run in person in 2021.
VIRTUAL RACE DETAILS
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the John Wayne Grit Series will be virtual with the plan to transition to in person events once the restrictions are lifted. Select either the "Run for Free by Fundraising” OR "Register to Run" button above to sign up.
If we are still virtual when race weekend comes around, we ask that you run wherever you choose and send Greg (email@example.com) a screenshot of your run tracking app showing you went the distance. The John Wayne Cancer Foundation will mail your participant shirt and finisher mug after race weekend.

FUNDRAISING & INCENTIVES
Fundraising for yourself or your team is a great way to give back to the cancer-fighting community. It’s also a great way to promote team building at your company or honor the memory of a loved one who has been affected by cancer.
Did we mention there are prizes involved for raising money? The highest earning teams from each race can go home with bragging rights and an entry into next years event! What are you waiting for?
Both loop courses start and finish at the bridge in the lower parking lot of Crystal Cove State Park. At the finish line, you’ll be rewarded with a finisher’s mug and the satisfaction of knowing that you stepped up to the challenge and helped fight cancer.
The elevation at Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach is 1,033 ft.
